Lyric’s Gift going out of publication
Just a quick announcement. My paranormal romance novel Lyric’s Gift is no longer in publication. I did have new cover art done for it and had planned to re-release it after pulling it from my publisher. However, I have decided to hold off on the re-release for the time being.
I feel that Lyric’s Gift could use a little work, some revisions perhaps. I don’t currently have the time for this. I hope to be able to take care of it sooner than later. Any potential future release dates will be announced here.
News – The Wicked Kiss Chronicles
The Wicked Kiss is the title of Book 2 in the Alexa O’Brien Huntress series. It is also a nightclub featured prominently in the series. However, it is now the home of a Huntress spin off series.
Many people, human and supernatural, pass their time in the blood hungry world of The Wicked Kiss. I felt that some of these people may have some interesting stories worth telling. In The Wicked Kiss Chronicles you will find books that are related to the Huntress series but stand independently on their own.
I have started the first book in The Wicked Kiss Chronicles, currently titled, Bad Reputation. It’s a rock n’roll urban fantasy/paranormal romantic horror. It’s a story of the rebellious and wild world of rock n’ roll where you have to lose yourself to find out who you really are. A place where everybody hits rock bottom but only the strong survive. Two bands united by a music festival. Two musicians that will go to hell and back together.
I will post all news and updates regarding the new book and spin off series as I have it.
In other news, Huntress Book 1, Once Bitten, and book 2, The Wicked Kiss, will be available at the new ebook price of $2.99 May 2011 (exact date TBA).
Easter Blog Hop!
Happy Easter!
Welcome to the blog hop! If you jumped in partway, you can find the beginning and the tour bus at http://justromance.me/.
Because it was also Earth Day on the 22nd, I have chosen some related photos to share instead of a short story.
I would also like to announce that early in May (exact date TBA) Huntress Book 1, Once Bitten, and Book 2, The Wicked Kiss, will be dropping to the new price of $2.99 for ebook. Also, my stand alone paranormal romance, Lyric’s Gift, will see a new price of $.99. Watch for it!
Happy Easter everyone! Spread the love.
News & Updates March 2011
Upcoming Release:
STAY BEAUTIFUL will be coming soon from Ellora’s Cave. It is a contemporary erotic romance about two travelers that meet while stranded by a snowstorm in a hotel. The blurb and cover are on the STAY BEAUTIFUL page. Release date will be posted as soon as I have it.
Writing Schedule Changes:
My current priority is my urban fantasy Alexa O’Brien Huntress Series. I’m currently working on Book 4 in this series and will be announcing some news/changes regarding this series in the next month or so. However, I also have some works in progress that fall into the more general fiction genre and in some cases horror which I would like to dedicate some time to.
That being said, I will not be writing anymore stand alone erotic romance stories in the near future. Along with that, I will not be expanding the book LYRIC’S GIFT into the trilogy it was originally intended to be. This decision is based on several factors including sales, time and interest.
Further updates regarding the HUNTRESS series will be posted toward the end of April 2011.
Thank you readers. It is your interest in this series that makes it easy to dive in each day and write.
Six Sentence Sunday – 2/20/2011
Welcome to Six Sentence Sunday! To see the whole list go to http://sixsunday.blogspot.com.
My six today comes from my Ellora’s Cave Quickie, IF ONLY FOR TONIGHT. This scene comes after Jadyn and Ash run into one another in a Vegas casino, ten years after they were torn apart.
Jadyn sighed and merely stared at her. She fully expected him to tell her what bullshit that was and leave her standing there quaking and alone. She didn’t expect him to close the space between them, take her face in his hands and kiss her with ten years of pain, longing and passion.
Slipping his tongue between her lips, he claimed her mouth with a wanton hunger. His fingers shook ever so slightly against her cheek, betraying the emotion that racked him. There was a possessiveness to his kiss that sent Ash back in time.
Six Sentence Sunday – 2/13/2011
Hello! Welcome to my Six Sentence Sunday post. To see everyone’s post check out http://sixsunday.blogspot.com/.
My 6 sentences today come from Huntress book 3, Only Vampires Cry Blood. This comes from a scene where werewolf Alexa O’Brien dishes out some ass kicking to an unwelcome werewolf trespassing on her turf.
I laughed, thoroughly amused. “I love seeing that look in your eyes, that horrifying realization that you guys were all wrong about me.”
He tried to shake his head, but I held his neck pinned too tightly. I wasn’t in the mood to chat. Dragging a claw along the side of his neck, I opened up a thick gash that instantly dripped fat crimson drops. Something tightened inside my stomach, almost painfully, as the bloodlust came on strong.
Happy Valentine’s Day
Everyday should be a love day, shouldn’t it? Welcome to the Valentine’s Day blog hop! It kicks off at http://justromance.me/bloghop.
This year I decided to showcase some amazing love stories or moments in time. I hope you enjoy it. Happy Valentine’s Day! Much love to all.
This kiss is one of the most famous in the world. And I can see why. I love it so much, I have a t-shirt with this picture on it. Edith Shain was discovered to be the woman in the photo. She died in 2010 at the age of 91. Many people have come forward claiming to be the man though it hasn’t been narrowed down to the exact one as far as I’ve found. You can read more about it HERE.
Is there anything as beautiful as love reunited after so many years? A letter that had fallen behind a fireplace mantel kept two lovers apart for more than a decade. It was only when the fireplace was removed for renovation that the letter was discovered.
Steve, of Paignton, Devon, said: ‘When we met again it was like a film. We ran across the airport into each other’s arms.
This story made me a little weepy. I’m a sucker for true love. Click HERE to read more of this moving story.
60 years apart…that is a lifetime. Anna and Boris lived this tale, one of the most amazing love stories I’ve been lucky enough to encounter.
When Anna Kozlov caught sight of the elderly man clambering out of a car in her home village of Borovlyanka in Siberia, she stopped dead in her tracks, convinced her eyes were playing tricks.
There, in front of her, was Boris, the man she had fallen in love with and married 60 years earlier. The last time she had seen him was three days after their wedding, when she kissed him goodbye and sent him off to rejoin his Red Army unit.
“I thought my eyes were playing games with me,” Anna said. “I saw this familiar looking man approaching me, his eyes gazing at me. My heart jumped. I knew it was him. I was crying with joy.”
This is an article worth reading. I couldn’t get to the end without crying. Find it HERE.
Happy Valentine’s Day! And remember:

Six Sentence Sunday 2/6/11
This is my first time doing Six Sentence Sunday. I’ve selected six sentences from book 1 in my Huntress series, ONCE BITTEN. This tidbit comes from an exchange between werewolf Alexa and vampire Arys Knight. To see more SSS posts visit http://sixsunday.blogspot.com/.
“So even pushing me away now is selfish and based on what suits you best. So typically the vampire.”
“That I am,” he growled even as he spread my legs and pressed his hard length against me. “Never forget it, or you’ll be mine forever.”
I considered debating that but thought better of it. He was firm against me, and I drew a shuddery breath, conflicted.
